La película es un acercamiento muy íntimo a la historia más reciente de Cuba. Una historia de amor y engaño en la revolución cubana, vista a través de los ojos del poeta Rafael Alcides, quien inicialmente quedó hipnotizado por sus posibilidades. Coyula ha creado un collage de cultura pop que combina clips de películas antiguas, fotografías y conversaciones imaginarias, todo unido por la personalidad magnética del narrador Alcides. Una película de gran aliento humano y alta calidad cinematográfica debido a, su estructura narrative, intertextualidad, cuidadoso diseño de sonido y  montaje con el uso de collages amalgamados con un  extraordinario virtuosismo. Es un viaje exquisito a través de la mente de un poeta que describe su mundo con toda su cruda brutalidad y belleza. El juicio final de un hombre con los ideales de la Revolución Cubana y su propia vida.

The film is an intimate approach to the most recent history of Cuba. Director Miguel Coyula has created a pop-culture collage combining clips from old movies, photographs, and imaginary conversations, all held together by the magnetic personality of raconteur Alcides. A film of great human breadth, and high cinematographic quality due to its structure, intertextuality, sound design, careful assembly work with the use of collages with an extraordinary virtuosity.
